Hi I have just received my 7 Ultimate Retail CD, I'm trying to upgrade my Vista 64 ultimate to 7 ultimate 64.

When getting to the first restart, I got a blue screen. I uninstalled GPU drivers and antivirus software, but I keep getting the same bluescreen. Not sure if its a driver problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are entitled to MS tech support for full retail. This can be as valuable as the cost of the disk. I got a full education over 40-50 hours support in how to debug, clean install and optimize a copy of XP Home which I consider priceless. They spend their billions well here.

Solved.

It seems a wireless driver was the culprit, even though I had no wireless installed. mfpvbus.sys, download Autoruns, find it under startup and delete it.

Looks like the upgrade is working now.
