Hi,
I've downloaded and installed the advisor, but it won't start. And no error message at all. The privacy link works though.
My PC is an Acer 8920G - a year old. .NET 3.5sp1 plus all other MS updates. OS is Vista Home Premium.
Have rebooted, reinstalled, downloaded again - no different. Also checked the Event log - nothing other than saying the install was successful.
The animation for the Start check button works. Then nothing.
Any ideas?
Doug

If your computer runs Vista then I don't see any reason it won't run 7.

7 runs on some of my computers that are 6 years old.

Sorry I don't know what's wrong with the upgrade advisor. I've never used it.

Other Info
All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
Same Issue

Same for me. Double click the icon for the cab file and nothing happens. Also have tried to upgrade win 7 from microsoft's DVD media (vista 32 home prem to Win 7 32 home premium). Program runs compatibility check then stops. Displayed compatibility results are blank..same with file written to desktop.
