Hey guys,

i have a toshiba laptop model A350. If you look at its features i have buttons there that allows me to play, stop, next, back, turn off sound, and such.

Since i made a mistake, i had vista home premium, and i bought 7 premium aswell, and when i was upgrading, i just noticed that i cannot upgrade from vista premium to 7 premium.

So now i did a restore on vista premium and then did a clean install to 7 premium and prationed the old windows, so i have the old things in the old windows folder.

Should i copy and paste the program files in the old one to the new one ?

Any ideas? i cant even open my ati configuration to fix up my graphics card, and other things since it is all in the old one.

Toshiba had this software that helps upgrade from vista to 7 but like i said, my mistake for buying a 7 premium, i couldnt 'upgrade' so i had to install it and ended loosing all the default softwares and such in my toshiba faculty setting.

Hope anyone can help me

Unfortunately, with programs, you cannot just copy and paste. It requires the DVD and the key, if applicable. Programs that were downloaded from the net have to be downloaded, again.

If it makes you feel andy better, almost every member here, will agree, that a clean install is much better than an upgrade. It was a mistake that turned out right.

Yes i'm pretty happy with the clean install, but the problem is that, i cant even take photos with my integrated webcam anymore and such.

Well someone suggested to re-download the ones i need, but how would i know which one?

just annoying lol

If they meant download the programs that you need, they meant the ones that you want.

If you have a DVD for the webcam, install it using the DVD. If it does not work you must go to the website to get an updated driver.

Go to the website of the manufactuer and download from there.

I just checked the Toshiba page I mentioned in my earlier post. There are all possible drivers for your computer, Cyberlink PowerCinema DVD software, webcamera software, Toshiba Value added Package for Windows etc., 3 pages loaded with apps and drivers.

Download and install what you need and want.

That is precisely situations like this why those drivers and bundled applications are there for you to download, situations when user has replaced the pre-installed OS and needs drivers for computer to work.

Good luck. Install at least the graphics card and webcam drivers :)
