Hi, I have spent the bundle to upgrade my machine but.
I installed an intel core i5-2500k proc.
msi p67a-g43 cross fire board
g skill ripjaw xf3ddr 3-1600 8g (2x4)
msi radeon hd 6870 hawk 950mhz video card.
On startup, the board lites up, the hard drive activity lite comes on for a few seconds, goes off then flashes once. The dvd drive lites up momentarily. All the various fans run but no video. I have checked and rechecked all the components as far as mounting and hooking up. The monitor says no signal, what am I missing?
Any help would certainly be appreciated.
Terry

Verify you installed all of the power cables to the motherboard. If they are all connected, then pull out all ram except one stick, disconnect the hard drive (sata power and data cables) and disconnect the DVD drive (sata power and data cables), and anything else except for the video card, then boot (if you have onboard video, I'd remove the video card as well). If your system posts and you can enter the bios, you know there's something wrong with the ram, dvd, or hard drive. At that point you can slowly add your removed items until you find what causes the computer to stop working.

Thanks for the replies, as you can guess I am a nooby, I did not plug in the cords that Scrooge speaks of. I have two heavy leads coming from my power supply with the same pin setup, are these the missing parts? I have always had on board video until now.
Thanks
Terry

if thay are both 6 pin it should be them. make sure you unplug your system before pluging them in so you don't
damage your card.
