Upgrade to 7

Hey guys, i currently have 3 computers, 2 are running on Windows XP and one is running on Vista. What is your sense, should, I be planning on upgrading to Windows7. I am a Pro user. I am also very interested in knowing, how are you thinking through the upgrade process. Is there anything very compelling with Windows 7, that we cannot live with? Thanks- greatly appreciate your help

First off welcome aboard the sevenforums here!

Lately I dumped XP entirely and am now considering dumping the 32bit Vista Home Premium and using the two drives for the former XP/Vista dual boot for a second 7 RC 64bit mirror array. With everything already running on another single drive I can see how 7 will run on an array setup for it on those two.

Recently a regular Vista Ultimate 64bit user was a little hesitate to try out the 64bit RC until spending the time. Now it seems he can't part from 7! It's certainly worth the look! :D

i too used xp for the longest time. i played with vista ultimate on and off but wasn't satisfied. having used various builds of 7 for the past month or so has seen me move away totally from xp. 7 is the only os on my notebook now and i am preparing my family's pc for the upgrade to 7. i'm also planning my strategy as to how to convince my CEO at work to upgrade our work pcs (or last mine :p).
It's definately worth the upgrade. what i suggest is that you browse the forums here and have a read about people's different experiences and grab yourself a copy to try. come here and ask plenty of questions (we're allpretty friendly) and i think that in time you won't look back.

From what I've seen when having both 32bit and 64bit betas and the RCs on here along with having set a quad boot of the both betas with XP and Vista I nuked XP once I found how to get a few drawback items running and will be looking for the second install for evaluating how it works out on array.

Some of the latest features will open some eyes up as well. One video clip that sums up one new almost "hands free" virtual keyboard onscreen feature can be watched in the video seen at UX Evangelist: Windows 7 NUI: Stepping Beyond the GUI

The technology is there and MS is now seeing some of that included in 7! :D
