Upgrade W7 to W10 without installing W7???

Hi, Thanks for reading.

I have five HP stream 11's they come with W8.1 Home.
I want to end up with W10 Pro.
I have 5 W7 Pro COA's
I wanted to install W7 pro then run the upgrade to W10 Pro, Sounds easy.
Problem is the HP Stream 11 has a eMMC drive in it which through lots of research W7 just will not install on it (At the beginning of the install W7 cannot see the drive).

Can I install W10 Pro fresh and activate with a W7 COA key?

I hope I am clear enough, any questions I'll be monitoring this thread.

My understanding is in the "near" future a person should be able to install W10 with the free upgrade offer using a valid W7 or W8.1 license key.

Will it work in your situation, where the W7 Pro license was never installed or activated, i don't know.
Can you wait on installing W10 to see how this plays out ?

Read through that thread and keep an eye on it to see what happens.
Or, post questions in Ten Forums where there are more folks using W10.

I agree, it would be nice and help many folks a lot.

Right now a person can clean install W10 without doing an upgrade install first as explained here:
Clean Install Windows 10 Directly without having to Upgrade First - Windows 10 Forums
I don't think this will help the OP as Win 7 Pro never installed to get the needed license info for this approach.

I wonder if W10 will install for the OP given the "HP Stream 11 has a eMMC" problem in post #1.
If you can't install W7, are you sure you can install W10 ?

I believe it's in the M$ store and or anytime upgrade.
Pro will cost about 99.us
