Hey all,

Christmas is not that far away and was thinking if there was anything I could upgrade in my computer system. I know for one thing I want a new case. I've been looking at a few and any more suggestions to that would be appreciated.

My current system:
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core Processor 5600+ @ 2.9Ghz
6GB Ram
2x 500GB Hard Drives
Nvidia GeForce 9400GT with 1GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
PSU: 450W

Any ideas/suggestions or whatever else will be appreciated. :)

Thanks,

OS
Windows 7 Home Premium x64

AMD Athlon 64 - Dual Core Processor 5600+ @ 2.9Ghz
Motherboard
ASRock K10N78FullHD-HSLI R3.0
Memory
6GB DDR2 Ram
Graphics Card(s)
Nvidia GeForce 9400GT with 1GB
Monitor(s) Displays
Dell 22" WideScreen Monitor with VGA & DVI (S2209W)
Hard Drives
2x500GB Internal Hard Drives
If you do a lot of PC gaming (new games) I would suggest a new video card. Something like a 9800GT or higher.

If you don't do gaming then save your Christmas wishes for something else ;) because you already have a nice PC and there's not much sense wasting them on computer parts.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
Keep your 2 drives for data and get a super fast SSD drive for C:

The speed difference is amazing. 30 sec boots, programs open instantly........amazing

Win 7 32 bit , Win xp Sp3
30 second boots? This doesn't save me much time from a conventional hard disk.

Why are SSD so expensive? I think they're just trying to milk everyone for cash, like they did with the $200 flash drives that now come inside of cereal boxes...

I'm thinking about a Graphics card update. Although if I wanted to get one of the cards that are pretty big, I would need a new motherboard. Due to me having about 3 PCI slots with my WiFI card in the very bottom one and not much room above. :P

Any ideas? :]
