Upgrading for windows 7

I CURRENTLY HAVE AMD ATHLON X2 64, AND 6400 DDR 2 GBYTES OF of ram.. and am thinking of upgrading both, and maybe even the video card,do i have to buy another copy if i change all these and not the motherboard?

another thing can anyone confirm what cpu platform this is capable of using, some sites give ya sockets, then others just tell what kinda cpu, am2/am2+,etc...

Socket AM2/AM2+. (No AM3, apparently.)

To repeat an answer: you won't need a new copy of Windows, even if your copy is OEM. You might trigger the need to activate Windows again, but you should have no trouble doing that.

I had seen that on the spec page, but under cpu support list it has AM3 cpu's listed, so that it was i am trying to get a correct answer on.. I am assuming that they just did not correct that page, but who knows, they may have screwed the support list page
