Upgrading from 7232 64bit to 7264 64bit problems.

Guys, I'm have some difficulties in upgrading. I keep on getting the following message,

I tried running the setup in compatibility mode, but same thing. I also tried changing the cversion.ini file. Same.

Hope someone can give me some advise. Thanks!!

when you run the upgrade, are you doing it from within the OS you want to upgrade? or did you burn it to a dvd and boot to it?

What exactly did you put in the cversion.ini file? If you did it the right way it should work without any problems.
Maybe post a pic of your cversion.ini so we can see what you have.

O, I didn't boot from the dvd I burned. Just ran the setup.

Don`t have to do all this stuff.:)
Just change the compatibility of the two setup.exe file one is located in the DVD another in the DVD\sources to vista sp2 and you are good to go.:)

I don't know if it will make a difference but I also told it not check for updates before I installed.

I think it does, I tried doing an upgrade and let it check, it didn't let me do the upgrade, something about not being the correct version.

I then ran the setup as Vista SP2 compatability, skipped the update, and it installed without a hitch.

OK guys, got it working. Entered Mr Grim's cversion.ini details, and ran setup in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. (Didn't work in the other compatibility modes.) Then everything went flawlessly. (Just took much longer than previous upgrades I did.)

So, thanks to everyone for their help! Really appreciate it!! ;)
