I have now Windows 7 Home Premium. If I buy the upgrade to Windows 7 Pro, do I use the product key from Win 7 Home or do I get a new product key with the upgrade? Thanks,

You get a new key for Pro, I did the same thing upgrading from Home Premium.

You can just use the new key in Windows Anytime Upgrade and it will unlock all the features for Pro.

You'll be up and running in 15 or 20 minutes and a reboot.

Here's a tutorial as well,

Make sure you actually need the extra features in Pro since most users don't and they are expensive. Otherwise it is the exact same OS: Compare Windows 7 Editions - Windows 7 Forums

You can also get it cheaper buying the Anytime Upgrade, although as Derek says a retail key will also work in Anytime Upgrade to unlock the few extra Pro features.

Thanks for the replies. Just wondering how it woukd work. I may not even do it, but again, thanks, Frank
