Solved Upgrading from Windows XP Pro 32 Bit

I have tried numerous times to install Win 7 Pro 64 bit on my secondary computer. It is a Win XP Pro 32 bit, on Raid 0 drives, and I am trying to install Win 7 Pro 64 Bit on the raid drives. The process starts and gets to the windows colored emblem and freezes. With all the reading I have been doing it appears that I need to turn off my data drive in bios, wipe clean my Raid 0 drives and do a fresh install. (as described in many posts) I am guessing that the disk will then install the correct raid drive I choose and then start the OS. Does that pretty much sum up what needs to happen?

We see nothing but problems with RAID here since Win7 came out, which are easily solved by unplugging one HD to delete all partitions on the other during booted Clean Install Windows 7.

To troubleshoot what you have unplug any drives but the RAID, wipe the drive using Diskpart Clean Command from booted installer's System Recovery Options Command Line, then format an Active partition from Step 2.2 of SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation.
