Upgrading GCard

Ok Guys i Just created this account and i wanna know something

ok i have toshiba l355-s7915 and it has Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M and i can't play games because of that GCARD and i wanna switch to Nvidia or ATI can you guys tell me which one should i get (and i wan't something that is cheap ) because for high quality games i have ps3.

Sorry to say but short of a new laptop with a better GPU in it, there is nothing you can do. Most laptops cannot be upgraded as far as the GPU goes, and think it is safe to say that yours is one of them.

As you have found there isn't much that can be played on Intel graphics, and in your case the Celeron in it isn't helping much either,

Unfortunately with laptops if gaming is a consideration at all, you need to get one that is capable at the time of purchase as they can't be upgraded like a desktop.

as i said i don't play games like crysis 2 i just play Battlefield Heroes just for fun and for those highly graphical games i have ps3

As Stormy13 wrote, most laptops have built-in graphics that aren't upgradeable.

The exceptions are those that use MXM (mobile PCI-Express) discrete graphics. You don't have one of those.

If your laptop doesn't have enough RAM, you might be able to see some improvement by increasing that.

Then install the game and see how it plays on the lowest settings. You might gear your computer to be more of a gaming computer (reduce visual settings, don't install bloatware, etc).

If it doesn't work, the only other option is to upgrade to a [slightly] better computer. You could read the minimum and recommended values that the game itself lists as required to run the game, and you can adjust settings to see which settings stabilize the game.

and then there is always upgrading the small things that the laptop will actually allow you to upgrade.
