upgrading mobo

i plan on upgrading to a GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AMD 9 Series FX Motherboard from a GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2 nForce 630a Motherboard is there anything i should know before atempting this? will i have to reinstall windows 7? ty for any help

I haven't done that upgrade, but a clean install of Win7 is usually recommended for a major change.

You could also consider using Sysprep to convert the windows installation to a generic one. (That's if the system is still running with the old motherboard.)
