upgrading to windows 10 questions

i have not installed yet, was waiting for them to fix some bugs before i installed then i found out about the privacy issues. I really dont want to upgrade but ms is limiting dx12 only to wins 10.

I dont blame them lol theres too much to read. So is this it? we have to allow ms to spy on us?

I believe there was 1 directx 12 game free to play this weekend,

I imagine gamers are the ones most anxious to try it out.

I've used just about every build during testing
10 is really no big deal todays games are unaffected by Dx12 and so is Steam probably the most popular delivery method.

New games will be moving to dx12 soon with better performance and graphics and its only available on wins 10.

I have a grand total of 2 games
COD 4 modern warfare and Batman arkham knight they play just fine as is.

well i know what dx12 does and it will be sometime before it actually matters. Im pissed that ms wont make dx12 available for wins7 or 8. I have a gtx 970 & i7 5820k so dx12 will be very beneficial for my rig.

is there a way to hav wins 7 n 10 ion 1 ssd?

Well you have a better chance using different ssd's but there was a fish tell M$ didn't mind if people dual booted win-7 and 10 even after a upgrade but I would not chance it oem copies are already being tagged as Not Genuine now just by using win-10 system restore back to 7,

There's a lot of reasons for it and some if not all could just be pirate copies getting detected after go to win-10 ?

So be aware M$ has improved the detection of pirate copies of 7

Personally I'd rather buy 10 if it's worth it and avoid the entire upgrade process
A lot less time spent and it's just too convoluted moving from 7 home premium to 10pro which I would have to get for group policy so that would be 2 upgrades to go through :/

Also simplifies dual booting my current install is unaffected.
All 10pro would do is occupy another ssd
I have a hot swap evo to switch ssd's when I want to use either
I used it throughout 10 testing it was really the easiest/ best way to test 10 without messing with other drives.

Remember that Microsoft said a counterfeit copy of Windows 7 could be upgraded to W-10 but they never said what would happen when a counterfeit copy of Windows 7 tried to come back from W-10.

A lot of times it seems to be breaking the hack of Windows 7 and posting a Non Genuine when they come back from Windows 10.

That is why I plan to wait two years or so for 10 to mature, for M$ to remove the spyware crap or for third party utilities for that, or go Linux for online communications and keep using W7 off line for Blender and the other things I do, even if I have to build separate boxes.
Never been an early adopter, as far as OSs go, held on to Atari ST until mid '98. The rest, well that's my business, you don't need to know.
