Upgrading to windows 8

I have a copy of windows 8 so i thought to upgrade my pc from windows 7 to windows 8 so i want to know that which os is the better may i perform the upgrade or not! which os is better give some beanchmarks or anything which can help me to decide.

Most of us are here because Win7 is the best OS ever and not in need of an upgrade to a touchscreen phone/tablet app which destroys the desktop experience that WIn7 perfects.

However you can do what I do to test various versions of Win8 as they are released: Shrink C to Clean Install - Windows 8 to a partition in a Dual Boot, then you can compare while accessing your files from the other OS.

Once you decide you can either delete Win8 off the HD in Disk Mgmt, or we can help you move the boot files to Win8 to keep it and Recover Partition Space Used by an Older OS
