HI,

I'm running on Win 7 x64 7057 and I would like to know if I can upgrade without losing any config of my programs and waist no time to reinstall all the programs again by using the final copy of Win 7 that will be resealed at the end of the year.

I would like to upgrade from Win 7 x64 7057 Ultimate to Win 7 x64 Final Version Home Premium. Is it possible, or it must be Win 7 x64 7057 Ultimate -> Win 7 x64 Final Ultimate ???

I don't think you will be able to upgrade from a beta to a final.

Yes you can keep the configs of all your programs.

Just backup the appdata folder in your useraccount area (like mine is c:\users\swarfega\appdata). Then after windows installation copy the files from the backup to the new c:\users\account\appdata. You will need to run the newly installed application at least once so that it creates the folder. Its also best to do this one program at a time (as your installing them) rather than all at once.

You wont be able to upgrade install from beta branch to rc1 branch or rtm as ms have stated they dont recommend it. So following my suggestion, you get the best of both worlds by having a nice clean install and keeping your appdata configs.

Can't I just make a backup from my version of Windows 7 and when the final version will be released I just restore my files or I could also use the Easy Transfer... ??
