Upon booting my computer I have gotten an error message named MBR error 1: Press any key to boot from floppy. Naturally I began my research immediately as to what this error means and how to fix it!

Some of the first suggestions I came across were solutions such as rebooting your computer, doing a power drain, completely turning your power supply off, and unplugging your computer completely, all of which did not help.

My adventure continues.

More research and a phone call to my friend pointed to another option of trying to reset my computer bios which also, sadly, did not work either (I reset by removing the motherboard battery for first 5 minutes and then again for almost 30 minutes which I thought would be sufficient). I was also made aware that a disc in the disc drive could be affecting the boot up process so I removed all discs and this also, did not work.

I'm starting to run out of options and have looked up solutions for quite a long time now with no resolution.

Any help would really be appreciated. Tips, advise, what exactly is going on with my PC, and other comments are much needed as I use my computer quite often for gaming and am already going through Torchlight 2 withdrawl. *laughs* :p

Can you boot into BIOS and ensure there is no floppy drive listed in BOOT options. If there is, remove it.

If you have your Windows installation disk you can boot from that and see if it gives you the option to repair your MBR.

:ar: Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html

It's possible there is a problem with your hard drive, SeaTools will let us know if that is the case.

Completely forgot to mention

I completely forgot to mention that when I try to run bios (pressing delete repetitively or even the f1-f12 functions), it does not respond to my commands. Is there any way to help with that? Perhaps these problems are linked?

Do you mean you can't boot into BIOS?

I'm not quite sure how to boot into it directly from start. All I know is how to get there once you are already booting. Is there another way?

I'm also having difficulties with my computer connecting to my screen. This just keeps getting weirder.

To get into the BIOS you need to repeatedly hit DEL straight after the POST beep. Give that a try.

Do you also mean you're not getting a picture on your monitor? Always or intermittently?
