Uprading from 7100 to 7260

I just updated to 7264 x64 a couple of hours ago. I upgraded from 7232 with no issues at all... But i don't see any diference from 7232,except not accepting rc serials,

Just installed 7232: Fresh Install. I saved on my 2nd HD all the .iso's and .exe's of programs, so it shouldn't take long to restore all my programs and games...

PS- Now that I have the english version and a 72XX build I hope I will be able to update to newer versions!

Just Saw 7264 x64 leak... I guess I will have to update tomorrow...xD

hugo, plz keep us updated as you upgrade to future builds. please try to do as many as possible, and post your results. I'm very interested in any side effects of this.

Nope.

7100's (BETA) can't get to 7200's (RC1) as the upg bits have/will never be developed.

I just downloaded another copy of W7 RC to give to my co-worker. It is build 7100, and to my knowledge it is the official Release Candidate.

7100= Public RC

Anything higher than 7100 is not a publicly released build, its a leaked build that was downloaded from the internet.

Do you always have to have the last word.

While yes you can get builds later than 7100 on the net (I am running 7201) they are not supported builds (they arent part of the official beta program). For being a "seven guru" and part of the "deployment dev team" you may want to get your facts straight.

what? It's called clarification. You may need to read up on the beta program a bit, and everyone it entails. They ARE supported builds, and ARE part of the official beta program.

It's called clarification. You may need to read up on the beta program a bit, and everyone it entails. They ARE official builds, and ARE NOT part of the public beta testing program. They are internal Dev/Debug builds. Some of them are released to TAP Gold partners for controlled testing outside of microsoft.

Just because MS isnt going after the torrents (its getting them a larger group of people that can find bugs, and have tasted what the new OS has to offer), this does not mean that you will get "official" help from let's say the TechNet forums for example. You will be told use the RC build (7100) or your out of luck. Also the error reporting doesnt work in later builds. So your not supplying feedback anymore.

Hey, Im using 7100 as well. and I have a 7100 Key from microsoft. I'm looking to fresh install. 100% clean.

What version would be best? I want stable. So most likely not the most recent version. I want a very stable 7229 or higher build or so. 64x or 86x preferrably obviously.

Any recommendations? and If so, please PM me a link to the torrent etc if you wouldn't mind.
