So my father is currently in the United States and he told me he can purchase a desktop for me and bring it back to Sweden with him. I have been exploring several websites and I found 2 computers which have specs that I like:

Gateway - Desktop / Intel® Core™ i7 Processor / 8GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive - FX6840-03E

Asus - Essentio Desktop / AMD Phenom™ II X6 Processor / 8GB Memory / 1TB Hard Drive - CG1330-05

I only have $1200 so I could get the first PC, and spend the rest of the money on tax. Its okay if I go a BIT over $1200.

Also, since my father is in LA, he could pick up a PC for me from iBuyPower or CyberpowerPC. However, I hear that they have terrible customer support and their computers are very poor quality. Has anyone used either of these 2 companies? If so, what do you think of the PC you purchased from them?

If anyone else knows any good computers out there with Radeon HD 5750 or better, and that is under $1100, please let me know.

Also, I stated urgent in the thread title because my father is leaving LA very soon so I need to make a selection quick.

PS: I can NOT build my own PC.

out of the two machines you list above, i would go for the gateway.

it's more powerful and has a better graphics card.

one thing which i do not know about is the power supply voltage. i am not sure if the swedish power system runs on the same voltage as usa. some computers have a switch on the back allowing you to change form 240v or 110v. what does sweden use?

Sweden uses 220 Volts. But the voltage isn't a problem. Most power supply's support dual voltage and if they don't, I have a voltage converter.

The Gateway does look to be the better of the 2.
