Solved USB 3.0 PCI-E card question...

I recently installed the StarTech 2 port SuperSpeed card. I'm not getting any exclamation marks in device manager and the 3.0 root hub and host controller are displaying there.

My question is how do I make certain I am getting 3.0 speeds?

Transfers from a My Book to my desktop are running 108-124 MBps once the My Book is fully "awake" and it takes about 40 seconds to transfer a 4.05 GB file. Is this acceptable or is there something else I need to do to get faster speeds?

After installing the card I did get a message from Windows Action Center telling me the Nvidia chipset on my MB was missing a driver although there are no exclamation marks in DM as I said. Also, there is a USB Host Controller Utility that was installed with the driver that affords the option to disable USB 3.0 power management functions. Should I check that option?

if you're getting 100MB/s, that's pretty good for USB 3.0. That is probably about as good as you will see. as far as the power management functions, in windows that usually refers to letting windows disable ports when not in use to save power. I always disable that. But, it depends on exactly what your card is calling power management.
