USB air card and two Internet connections

Hi,
My company uses web tracking software and looks at usage so I'm trying to get around it to peruse the net and get some stuff done during the day. It's amazing that with zero net access life comes to a halt and anxiety builds as "to do" lists grow. Therefore my idea is to buy a usb air card and plug it into my desktop along with the cat5 network cable which provides network and Internet service from the company. When I want to get on the web for personal use I'll switch to the air card, and when I want to access the network or Internet for office use I'll use the network connection. Can this be done? How do I set it up in windows 7? I'm a novice so please be as explicit and complete as possible. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

So Deuces, your company tracks web usage to ensure that your paid time at
work is actually spent on company business. Boy have they got a lot
of nerve. I take it when you say "I'm trying to get around it to peruse the
net and get some stuff done during the day" that you are talking about really
important personal stuff. Your company should appologize for
putting you through this huge inconvience.
Now, back to reality. As your employer, please stop off at the
end of your shift at the personell office to pick up your
severance pay.

At the risk of starting a heated argument here I feel the need to express a counter point because I think it's huge fallacy that people are 100% productive at work. Humans are humans and they need to conduct private and personal business during the day when banks, mortgage companies, doctor offices, municipal offices, etc are open. Unless of coarse you have a spouse at home that can do all of that for you. And what about coffee? Do you drink it? I don't. Yet I see my coworkers standing there blabbering for 10 minutes at a clip three of four times a day. Then there are the texters, personal phone callers, and let's not forget the smokers or the incessant talkers. Jeez I know someone who works in the government and one person actually SLEEPS during the day and snores. So don't give me that holier then thou line. Sure there are people who abuse the system, but the rest of do what we need to do. And we all need to do something at one point or another during the day. It's part of life and any employer who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. Now can we forget about the principles of my question and look at it objectively?

Hey Deuces. It's a bit late to reply, perhaps, and maybe you have already figured this out, but here goes!

In Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center, there will be a menu on the left that says "Change adapter settings." Basically, when you want to use your air card, disable the Ethernet adapter, plug in your USB Air Card, and use its software to connect, etc. When you're done with whatever it is you needed to take care of, then turn off the Air Card, unplug it (if you like, or leave it in, long as it's not connected to the internet), and enable the Ethernet Adapter again.

There may be an even more clever way to go about it. I alternate between air card and WiFi/Ethernet cable for other reasons, but that's how switch between the two.

Please note that there are other ways to track an employee's surfing activity, even if their ability to "spy" isn't live while the Ethernet is disabled, they can still look at browser history, etc if they want to.
