I've got Windows 7 running on a laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad W510) and a dell PC (XPS 8300). I've tried a couple supposedly plug-n-play USB audio interface units that claim to need no drivers, but they fail to install or open. I'm wondering if the forum can inform me of which interfaces are recognized and that open and work in Windows 7. I've been looking at Chinese units on Temu. I bought a Teyun Q-26 but neither of my machines was able to install and open the interface. Company says it doesn't need a driver. I was forced to return the unit.

To be clear, I'm asking for stories of successful cases of USB audio interfaces working well in music recording situations under Windows 7. Most posts present (unresolved) problems telling me, basically, what to avoid. Now, please, tell stories of success so that others like me can avoid the pitfalls and get straight to business. Thanks in advance 🙏
