USB devices randomly turn off for a second

Hello,
my usb devices (keyboard and mouse) randomly stop working for a second (the lights of the keyboard and mouse also turn off) and then they turn on again, you also hear the usb connection/disconnection sounds.

I've also noticed lately that my computer suddenly gets stuck for a few seconds, nothing moves,but the screen is on, and I try to press keyboard or move the mouse, but nothing happens, and then it comes back to life after a few seconds.

I would try a different closer to if not the top number one usb IO slot. Also I would run a deep AV and Malware scan in Safe Mode if needed and see what if anything comes up. Also if the devices have drivers then look for the latest version off the mfg'rs site and download. lastly check the cable for any sharp bends and possible break in the wire which often can't be seen so squeezing the cable all along it's length till you find it connecting and disconnecting more regularly tells you it's a break or loose connection.

Thanks, I will try scanning, because I don't think it's a break connection, as both keyboard and mouse simultaneously turn off and turn on.
