USB drives not working

hey,
recently i have been having some problems with mu usb drives.
so, whenever i plug in any type of usb device i get the "device failed to connect" sound and if i unplug the usb device the normal "device ejected" plays.
also in device manager i noticed that theres an explanation point next to "USB Root Hub".
Any ideas on how i would fix this?

well either your usb root hub isnt working becouse of a hardware issue or maybe becouse the correct drivers aren't installed. filling in you system specs would realy help. at this poit i would recomend updating/reinstalling the chipset drivers or software
