USB enabled but not enabled ?

just connected my ipod to my system but the system doesn't alert me that its been connected. The ipods charging, and it even shows up in device manager but when going to enable it, see pictures below it says cannot start service. plug and play is enabled and bios has usb as enabled ???

tried fix it via microsoft and also troubleshoot within system no joy... see screenshots
