USB keyboard is not recognized while booting with windows 7 DVD,

I wanted to format my machine by booting from Windows 7 DVD. At that moment, my USB keyboard is not recognized and I wasn’t able to press and character. As a workaround, I managed to plug a PS2 keyboard and it is recognized and worked fine!

What settings in the BIOS might be related to this issue?

Or is it a windows issue?

Thank you

Best

i use a logitech wireless usb keyboard/mouse without problems. recently reinstalled windows on new pc with it too. bios on new pc has a 'legacy usb support' item that needs to be on (so did the old one). if not that, what make/model keyboard? if wireless are the batteries OK? i gather it's recognised when you enter the bios settings. is it an EHCI bios? they get a bit more tricky, but should have legacy settings.

Many thanks for the help,

The issue has been settled down at the BIOS level! And now as I boot, windows can recognize my USB keyboard

I’ll be attaching the screenshot later
