ok first solution might sound simple but try a different usb port
next, i suggest you go into the device manager and make sure that you do not see this symbol first

if you do see that then right click on it and select uninstall and restart your computer.
if that doesnt work and you are using a desktop machine shut down the computer and uplug the power cable for about 5 mins, if laptop then shutdown and remove battery then power back on.

best of luck

if it showed the same result did you choose uninstall and restart? also you may want to try to manually assign the driver for the flash drive by going to device manager>update driver software>browse computer for software>pick device drives from computer>then select usb drive from the list. if that does not work i would like to know if you have backups of the files on the drive before attempting to format. you can try to recover your files from the flash drive using this. it is possible that you have tried to write more files than the real capacity of the drive. occasionally drives will corrupt when this is done.

Hi Black Water,

If other pen drives work normally on your PC and only this AData pen drive is not being recognised, then it is quite likely that it has become defective.

You can try the five tricks mentioned here How to solve "USB Device Not Recognized" With 5 Trick*|*PC Talk Corner

If it is still unresolved , you may try the ADATA USB Online Flash Recovery USB Flash Drive Online Recovery_RMA Service_Support_ADATA Technology Do read the Operation Steps and FAQ and be aware that if your ADATA drive goes through the recovery process - which I doubt - you will lose all data on it.

The Final Word: In your position, I would have got a warranty replacement especially when it is just two weeks old, by contacting ADATA support, if the vendor would not replace it under his return policy.

If the "Safely Remove Hardware" was not used when the USB device was unplugged, the problem you have can occur. If the same thing was done on all computers, that would be the reason it is not recognized by any computer.

Any idea to fix it ?

Here is how I fix it, if that is the problem.

Connect the device to the PC. Then go to the Device Manager and as previously noted there will probably be an Unknown Device listed in the USB section. RIGHT click on the entry for that device and then LEFT click Uninstall. Physically disconnect the device from the PC then restart the PC. After Windows restarts, plug the device in and Windows will detect it and install it. Then, use the Safely Remove Hardware when you want to disconnect it.

If that procedure does not work, there could be a hardware failure with the device.
