USB only uses 6 out of 8 gbs showing.

Well the issue is 6 out of the 8g/b's are showing up on my screen that can be used. I recently reformatted the usb stick. There is 1.48 gb unallocated disk space and I am not sure how to reclaim it. I know I don't get full on 8 gbs of usage but 1.48 of it being unusable is way to much. I tired to re add the volume, like with a hard drive, but no dice with the usb in the Computer Management.
In both fat32 and NTFS formats nothing works.

Any idea on helping me getting my space back?

did the drive come pre-formatted with the u3 software?

No, prior to me formating was a a boot drive for windows 7 in case i ever needed to re install w7 like vista. After awhile nothing was wrong so i formated it to use for saving data but then i noticed i had 6gb only and then i started to check what was wrong. I cant do anything from the Computer management and i am not sure what i would do with the cmd prompt to try from there.

What I have concluded so far is:
the 1.48 unallocated space is some iso image but hidden from the system itself based on some other post along the Internet.
I can not even add a driver letter to mount the other 1.48gb.

"What I was hoping for is perhaps, someone can let me know how to format or un allocate all of the usbs memory so i can re add it together like you would with a hard driver (if that even works) all from within the cmd.
and or at least just make it usuable even if the space is split apart.
