Solved USB ports only work in BIOS

I am a technician working on an HP 15 - p213cl.

The job was to downgrade the original OS (Windows 8) to Windows 7 Pro 64. Fairly easy process I have done many times.

I downgraded to 7, Updated all drivers that the HP support site had for my model. Also did all windows updates.

Everything seems to work, therefore I'm ready to run final checks before contacting customer and what do I find? No working USB ports. They work in BIOS and I can boot from USB. I have tried searching for the drivers with no luck. Also Right click and update in Device Manager but says cant find online.

I also checked the BIOS for USB security settings but didn't see any to enable or disable.

No driver detector at the HP site.

Hard to believe there`s no usb drivers there.

Problem is, it came with 8.1 and now it has 7.

Update: just found some more info, It uses AMD so i went to that website and am currently downloading chipset drivers. if all works I will mark as solved. Thank yall for speedy replies.

@addRAM lol thank you for the faith. I went to the HP site, looked up my exact model and checked both the 8.1 and 7 drivers. with neither having any chip-set drivers at all. Now I will say the USB worked on 8.1, because her original request was just a data transfer from an old laptop to this new one. Then she brought back saying I hate 8, downgrade me. The USB still works just not in windows itself, only BIOS and till windows boots.
