I am currently running Windows 7 64bit Home Edition on my Gigabyte motherboard (Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H). This motherboard has front and rear USB ports.

Q1. How do I distinguish between USB 1.1 and USB 2 for these ports?

Q2. How do I update the USB 1.1 ports to USB 2?

Any practical help or suggestion would be much appreciated by this newbie

Thanks.

As far as I know, all the USB ports on that board are 2.0, however they are backward compatible with 1.1 devices.
What problems are you having?

I keep getting a message that one of my USB devices would "run quicker on USB 2 port".......or words to that effect.
