USB problem

Okay i have posted this to multiple sites before and little luck so I went to the pro's. Okay i was playing my laptop one day right? and my ports stopped working out of nowhere. Like no joke i was playing my laptop nice and calmly and then Bam they stopped like they busted... any help? I'd appreciate it if i could get help.

I have one way i read about fixing it i need some idea's and/or feedback on it
1. Hit F8 or del when comp is powering up and hit "Load Optimized Deaults"

I currently have an issue with some USB3 ports not working correctly and pooch kindly suggested this as a possible solution, so you may wish to give it a go.

Is it all USB ports on your laptop that have stopped working? Have you tried other USB devices in the ports? Do those USB devices work when connected to another computer? (just trying to make sure it's the port that's not working and not the device that's failed)

I've tried 2 mice and 3 usb thumb drives and my external non have work i have identified a possible cause the usb port tree in the device manager are missing i've tried restarting my computer waiting half an hour turning back on and load setup defaults in the F2 section of the start up i have also identify that my audio is broken

A couple of suggestions I've come across on the interweb are:

Make sure that USB and other related settings are enabled in BIOS;

and download latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

Have you tried that yet?
