Hi SevenForums Community,
I'm having some USB problems after purchasing a new wireless usb adapter.
While the USB wireless adapter is connected, if i insert any flash drives they stop responding.
For example, USB wireless adapter is connected and im browsing the web, i then insert a pendrive into my computer, Sometimes the pendrive won't even show up in My computer. Sometimes it shows up but when I try to communicate with it by copying a file to it, etc, it stops responding and freezes up the "My computer" window.
I've tried this with several different pendrives, and all are reacting the same way.
I've tried connected a different type of USB device such as a headset, and it has no problems when connected at the same time as wireless adapter.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the USB controllers.
Also, my western digital mybook external drive sometimes stops responding too while connected at the same time.
Devices that are connected with USB:
4 back motherboard ports: 1. mouse 2. keyboard 3. dell laser printer 1700n 4. Western Digital Mybook external hard drive
2 front Case ports: 1.wireless usb adapter. 2. none
The USB adapter is a Rosewill RNX-N250UBE.
This device uses a Realtek RTL8192CU chipset.
I should also add that the latest standard windows 7 64 bit drives for this chipset on the Realtek website did not work.
I had to use the windows 7 64 bit OMNIPEEK drivers instead because i was getting a code37 in device manager.
I've attached the event logs for USB.
Thank you.
