The drivers I am using for USB Hubs/Ports in my Device Manager are listed as
Example:
Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3A3A
6.1.7600.16385

Isn't there newer drivers? And I thought these were loaded when You loaded your chipset drivers. I have the latest Intel drivers loaded from Intel for my chipset (See system specs) I guess I am cornfused.

Have you tried:
Win | type devmgmt.msc | Enter key

Rt-click on the device under investigation.
Choose Update Driver

Yeah it says up to date.

Good. The only thing left to do is go to Windows Update (Control Panel | Windows Update) and over there on the left-hand side choose "Change Settings"

Now:
Check all of the boxes shown there.
Click on the OK button (it's down at the bottom)

Click on the "Check for Updates" button, even if Win7 says you are up-to-date.

Look at any "Optional" updates listed.
Be sure to check those which are hardware-related.

Let Win7 download and install any updates you selected.

Ok. Sorry to say that I'm at a dead end. I too find the dates unusual but other than via DevMgmt, of disabling and then uninstalling drivers and devices under consideration followed by a reboot to let Win7 detect and install devices and drivers, I'm at a loss.

Actually, I've gone thru the disable, uninstall, restart routine myself before to clear up problems.
