I am at my wits end with this issue. My computer wakes at RANDOM times. There are some nights it will be "out cold" all night, and then others I'll get up and it's awake.
Here's today's example: I put it to sleep at about 9:50 last night, it was still asleep this morning at like 8:20. Had an appointment with a client at 11:15 today. I put the computer to sleep at 9:40 (system logs show exact times) and when I got home at 12:30 it was awake. I checked the logs and it had woken up at 12:03 because of Device -USB ROOT HUB. I'm at a complete loss here.
Here is what I have thought of so far:
1.) Scanned with Malwarebytes and Security Essentials, nothing found as always. System is clean.
2.) MSRT also found nothing.
3.) BIOS is latest version.
4.) Wake Timers are Disabled, as well as Windows Media center. It has caused issues with other machines in the past. I've also disabled sleep prevention when network sharing, if that makes any difference.
5.) Everything but the mouse and keyboard lack ability to wake machine, even with both disabled and only the power button to resume the system still wakes on its random schedule. Since it had no effect, I re-enabled my mouse and keyboard for convenience. The unifying devices for my logitech mouse can't be disabled in the device manager, and have been used from day one. Nothing has changed to my knowledge that has caused this issue.
6.) Restarting will sometimes fix the issue for a day, but doesn't 75% of the time. I have ZERO idea how that is relevant at this point. My restarting schedule of every Sunday hasn't changed since I built the machine. I restart for updates, otherwise it's simply asleep when I'm away.
Here's what's odd/interesting, no matter if I wake my machine with my keyboard or mouse lastwake gives the same message. I find that VERY odd, even though all the way back through the filtered logs it has been that way since day one.
I have tried a different mouse and keyboard just to rule this out. I even tried to lookup the device id on google and the only seemingly relevant thing I came across was a dead thread here from 2013 that I don't think was entirely solved.
Here are the messages I get from the CMD.
