usb, sata etc load AFTER log in, please help

From what I see you have about ~8TB of storage scattered over 8 drives. Perhaps you can have some different storage strategy so you don't need all of the externals.

Your motherboard has 8 SATA ports so a RAID card shouldn't be needed.

hehe i am using 7 sata's now, so if i want both ext drives as internal i will need to have raidcard because i would need 9 ports to do it right? =)

As I said earlier, this sounds normal if it's the Auto Play you're seeing, it happens on my system if I reboot and have, say, a USB drive still plugged in.
Don't want to complicate things I just want to note this is not normal for the 2 PC's I have here and all four of my USB drives and my eSATA enclosure. None show the Autoplay prompt when I startup or reboot the PC and all show when I connect the devices when logged in.

BIOS won't see USB drives.
Just a little note here. My main PC shows info on the POST screen that x number of USB drives connected and they should be seen by most in the boot configuration if the motherboard allows booting from USB but thats about it, no options like you'll find for a hard drive or cd/dvd drive.

And the x number includes my mouse and keyboard so it may say 4 USB devices but only two show in the boot config.

Any drive connected via eSATA is the same as, or rather is, a direct motherboard connection, eSATA is like an extension cord. Still if autoplay is properly configured it will show other devices upon starting. Well, "properly" in my case is the default w7 settings, I haven't changed them.

Thanks for the clarification - it will see USB devices, you can't affect drive options.

We all can be a pain sometimes ;)

What programs access which disks and why? Can those programs access other discs? Can they delay accessing the disk?

Thanks for the update, but we're grasping at straws on this side. You menitoned Dropbox, what otther apps are complaining? A screen shot of what's going on would be very informative.

Marking a partition as active on a basic disk means that the computer will use the loader (an operating system tool) on that partition to start the operating system. If you don't boot from that disk, havine it marked active might confuse the OS. This might be the root cause of the issue on your machine. This would be the first thing I would correct.

Please execute the commands in post# 14 or follow the tutorial for each disk marked active (F, G, H, M from your last Disk Mnmgt screen shot).
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/197157-partition-mark-inactive.html

I won't be able to help much more until that is done.
it was just to point out whats happen.
the main problem is that windows find the discs too late, so programs that use storage on them will shout errors in all directions.

the autoplay etc is not a problem for me. also everything is normal after i just OK'ing the errors.

what does the "active" really do?

i havent tried anything yet, i will after pointing out exactly how i fix my main problem .. and,

thank you all very much for helping me!

i can be a pain sometimes, but i want everything to be right so i dont **** anything up or do it wrong =)
