USB slots die out for a second randomly, sometimes fail altogether

As the title already says, I'm having problems with my usb slots not working sometimes for my mouse and keyboard, they either stop working for a few seconds and I get the windows "connect/disconnect" sound or they just stop working which can be fixed by repositioning the 2 usb's into a different set of slots. This solution however only works for a while until the same problem occurs again and I have to reboot to get them working again, this problem nearly only occurs with the rear usb slots, it does, however, somethimes affect my front 2 slots where I have a headset plugged in, this is noticeable immediately as any sound heard from the headset is wrong (can't really explain how it changes ). I have already tried uninstalling/updating drivers and turning on legacy support in the BIOS but to no avail. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. (P.S. the pc in question is only a few months old and NOT the system in my profile, if you need any other info just ask)
