Solved USb stops working after idle, or update fail

Hi,
I've got me a new MSI P67A GD65 motherboard with an Intel i5 2500. Can't seem to get windows working right. So far I've installed on several hard drives, checked memory with BIOS tool, windows test and memtest86+, all passed.
The problem is that my usb (logitech) mouse stops working every now and then. It stops after it's been idle for a while (when i watch a movie or go out etc), or when windows update fails. Which it does a lot btw. It works fine after a reboot. A nice side effect of my not-working mouse is that windows can't shut down when it happens.
I also have experienced a nice amount of BSOD's since my upgrade, including:
Bad pool header
Page fault in nonpaged area
irql not less or equal
usb bug code
As this has worked with my older system, is this a windows or hardware issue?

ps just installed zonealarm free, and it looked fine, but when it started scanning for programs, the mouse stopped again...?

Perform a SFC Scan (System File Check)

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow

2. Type the following command, sfc /scannow and then press ENTER:

(A message will appear stating that 'The system scan will begin'. Be patient because the scan may take some time)

3. If any files require a replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Windows 7 DVD for this process to continue

4. If everything is okay you should, after the scan, see the following message "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

5. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer. (TIP repeat scan 3 times)

Hi,
i figured I'd start with the easy part, the sfc scan. After it's done it says something like:
"System check is starting. This may take a while.
Verification is being started.
Verification is 0% completed.
No violations have been found."

I'm guessing it should say 100% after it's done?

Ran speccy just now, and the specs:
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
Intel i5-2500K (3,3 GHz)
Nvidia Geforce GTX560 Ti
2x4GB Corsair DDR3 @ 665MHz

Little question on the side: could speccy be inaccurate? As the box from the processor clearly says i5-2500 without the K. Also, the RAM should be at 1333 MHz? Or am I mixing things up here?

The BIOS has an update available, i'll try that next, let you know how that goes.

hi there no speccy is normaly ok on the spec run down with its software,try and update your BIOS this is important and check recent program downloads do you have the error files you can post?

Hi all,
updated my bios couple of days ago, and everythings seems to be working now!
My mouse keeps working, no BSOD's anymore, and even windows updates nicele (if that was even related). sfc also checks correctly.
On the MSI forums there are a lot of other threads regarding simmilar issues, maybe it's a P67A problem. Glad mine is working now, thnka you all for your replies.
