I installed Win7 without making a password, and have only one user account. This is the way I like it to be, no matter warnings.
Later I wanted to edit FSX.cfg, and find some other stuff usually hidden somewhere in my user account folder. I had no access!
So I set in Folder Options to show hidden files. Did not help. Back to folder options and set "Show protected OS files" to no avail.
Finally went into Administrative Tools and looked up my user folder there. Then just right clicked and set all subfolders to NOT be read only. Now I got access!
There is still a "lock" symbol on my user folder, but access is ok.
I conlude I got outta my problem in a speculative way
Is there any "proper" way to gain access?
