I did an upgrade from Vista to w7 ultimate and everything went great so i set up user accounts that werent there before. I wanted to set up as administrator the upgrade version, and 2 standard accounts. Now what happened is the admin account is new and the upgrade account is set as a regular account. I tried everything to change it but it will not let me. It told me to make one of the other accounts as admin before i can change the admin account but it will not let me. I hope i am not to hard to understand. What can i do to fix it?:cry:

Did you do an upgrade or clean install? If your programs have to be reinstalled it was a clean install?

If it was an upgrade, do it over. Do a clean install. You will solve this problem and all that will come in the future.

Hi and welcome.
Win7 has a different way in doing things regarding Admin account.
