I have the same problem. My computer is three days old.

I have two profiles, but I cannot log in to the profile that is admin. The last time I was logged in, Windows did run an update.

However, when I tried to run system restore from the other profile, the I get a message that the file cannot be located.

Don't worry, this could probably be corrected, it is a corrupted account. Make a new adminsitrators account and then you can delete the old. All programs should be available in the new account. You may have to set up new email, and favorites, unless you have back up, but we know not many people do.

As an alternative, a 3 day old computer should not have problems. You can return it or exchange it. After the Holidays the stores have very generous return policies.
