User profile won't load

Logging in to the PC profile won't load the usual settings and programs.

This occurred after changing the PC from a workgroup to a domain and back to a workgroup after the domain failed to connect to Windows SBS 2008 R2.

Blow it out then copy the files back into it. Login as a local admin or 2ndary account with admin priv
rename the local profile name under C:\users to (profilename.old).

Logout of the local admin account then back in as a standard user, that will recreate the profile.
Then just browse to c:\users and find the .old profile and copy the desktop/document libraries and Favorites back into the new profile.

If you had used outlook or similiar products you can find and copy those config or app data files into the new profile as well.

It seems to be working now. I just changed the PC between workgroup and domain a few times and it works.
