Hi Guy's

I recently removed a old user account in windows 7, and added a new account. In the users folder the new account is there but the old user's name is also there??.. i went to the system in the control panel, under the advanced options, user profiles, i see that there is a default name and the new name. I want to know if it is safe to delete this default name??... or leave it?.. there are no unknown names there either.. can someone please help me here? thanks

Default user is needed, don't touch that one

If you are absolutely sure you don't need any file etc from the old user folder, just delete it in C:\Users.

Thank you for your reply, so it is ok to delete it from c:\users?? .. it has AppData, some pictures, and dropbox in the folder.

Copy the pictures to the new account and configure dropbox for the new user. And keep the old account until you are sure you won't need it.

No problem, it doesn't hurt to be staying there, give it a week or so to see everything is in order in new account. You can delete later.
