Just wondering: What is the origin of your username? Does it mean something special, was it a random name, your name, or something else entirely? Also, Do you use the same name everywhere online?

I said same for all, but in reality it is *similar*

If I attempt to register at a site with johngalt, and it is take, I then opt for John L. Galt or johnlgalt.

However, I rarely ever use that for gaming....

Yup I use similar id's as well. I started with thegr8anand(Anand being my name and I was young at that time ) and have used it almost everywhere or 'thegr8' in some places.

Mine is the first 3 letter of my last name and then the initials of my first, middle, and last name and then the year I was born. I use it for everything.

I used to have a different name for everything but as time went by I tended to forget which name went with what Now I just use a couple with variations.

smarteyeball started as a whim when I signed up for a private torrent site. For some reason, the idea of an eyeball that was smart amused me for a few minutes late one night. It's just a theme I run with now

well that all happen when i got my gmail address for the first time...
i type that in and it said that was not available..
and it gave that option as my email address
as for the name here...
this is purely convenience...lol
but he you can call me DA for short....

Mine stems back around 25 years ago whilst I was at college (a quarter of a century - that make me feel old!) We had a Dungeons and Dragons club (I've forgotten how to play now), and we had to draw names for our characters out of the proverbial hat. The name I drew was Dwarf, and I've used it ever since. Just as well that I didn't draw out Fairy!

I use MR GRiM on nearly all Sites and for my game Tags now, it started with COD4 and now I use it everywhere or slight variations if someone else has already pinched it, my older user name was just my initials and the 3 first letters of my last name being God (Goddard).

I just use my name I could never think of anything when it came to registering so thought well I've had this one for long enough so why not stick with it, at least I don't forget it

Well I'm a goldsmith and the url of my website is garysgold.com. So that's where it comes from. I use the same one everywhere as I got tired of having to look up one for a site I haven't been to in a bit.

I use Ex_Brit for many websites and it means exactly what it says. I was born in the UK and live in Canada. I keep both passports though - so in a sense, I'm not an ex brit at all.
