Users for Verification only?

Ok, so I have this question, and it might sound excruciatingly noob-ish to most of you, so please no making fun.

I'm running Windows7 Professional at home. I have just one user on it right now, no passwords nothing. I don't like making a lot of users because they mess up the C:\ drive with their own files and folders and all that stuff. But, i DO need users for verification purposes, and to assign securities to certain folders shared over the network or otherwise.

So, is it possible to just create a username and a password for the purpose of verification/login? I mean, can i create a username that has NO MyDocs, MyPics, MyMusic, MyThis and MyThat folders added with it to bloat up my C:\ drive? It's not that I lack space, I have 2TBs to play around with. I just don't like the clutter. Because I don't use the MyDocs folders to save anything.

I'm using Hamachi to access my system across borders, and I need some folders shared that only I can access here, and other people can't access over the "home network" back home. I know this can be done by making users in the control panel, and then assigning security properties, but i already explained I don't want to do it the old way

The built-in guest account can be used for that. Check it out.

For the Hamachi you can use your account on your machine since you will be accessing your data. If you want others to access your machine with Hamachi then you can have them use the Guest Account.

The Guest account has hardly enough privileges to do anything useful. Alright, let me explain further.

I have folder ABC on my harddrive on the remote computer. My remote computer is in my home network. I want to share the folder ABC with myself across the border, but NOT with people in the home network. For that purpose, i understand I will have to have at least 2 users on my remote computer. Is that right? Currently, I have just one. So, previous question again. Can i create a user for the purpose of verification/login only, rather than all the folder/files set?

Short answer No. That is why I suggested the Guest account because when they log off everything they did is deleted. I wrote a script for a public computer system that does sort of what you want. The public computer has a real account and real access to software and some access to some shared data and then complete restrictions to other parts of the system and/or data. The machine is setup to clean up that user account every night as if it never existed and they start from scratch each day. Maybe something like that would work. However since you only need 2 accounts all the so called "My" stuff that gets created is really no big deal. I could see if you needed 20 local accounts on your machine then you have a mess. JMHO.

If you want I can look for that script. I am sure it could be modified to work how you need it to. Or if you want a standard account to work like a Guest account I can set the script up to just delete the profile folder and it will be re-created when they log on. Note: none of their settings will be remembered and if they save documents to the standard place(s) they will be deleted too. Let me know.

Edit: Now that I think about it we don't need a full script to remove the profile that can be setup much simpler. If you want to remove most/part of the user profile information then we would need to use the script or something.
