Hi. I have a question about windows 7: what can i do to make my windows believe me that I am the administrator of my pc !! it always pumps with popups like "you'll need to provide administrator permission blablabla .." whenever i try to move a banal file from one folder to another , and more than this more programs cannot write their data files unless i run them as administrator, winamp , the same i cannot modify the tag to a song unless i run as administrator or take the ownership of all the files :( what do i have to do to escape of so much problems in win 7? i am the only user and i hoped that i am considered administrator. :geek:
Thank you.

First, let's see if you are an administrator. Please do the following:

  1. Click the start button.
  2. Click on your user icon at the top right of the start menu.
  3. Look at your user icon at the right of this window. If it says Administrator under your name, then you are an administrator.

Sounds like it's the UAC prompts to me:

Control Panel \ System and Security \ "Change user account controls" \ slide bar down to "Never".
*you'll need to restart*

Try logging in as the built-in Administrator account and see if you still have these problems. First, do the following to enable the account.

  1. Click on the start button and type cmd.
  2. Right click on cmd.exe and click on Run as Administrator.
  3. Type net user administrator /activate:yes and press Enter.
  4. Close Command Prompt and log out.
You will now see both your account and the new Administrator account listed. Log in with the Administrator account and try everything you've been having problems with.
