Using a wireless usb device that need Atheros drivers.

Problem is that I'm on Windows 7 but it keeps automatically installing drivers from 2008 that are for Vista. I think this is one of the reasons I'm getting BSOD problems..

EDIT: And now it's saying they weren't installed correctly. I'm beyond confused...

Have you looked on the manufacturers web site for drivers? Did the wireless adapter come with an driver/software install CD?

Yeah but the CD was for Windows XP only. I looked on the website and they do have drivers for Windows 7 but when you install them, the date for them is 2008... they work, but I just figured that's where this BSOD probably is coming from.

OK, if you can't find a better driver you may have to buy a better wireless adapter. Or switch to a wired connection and uninstall the wireless adapter.
