It has been brought to my attention that by using the registry, we can change the default shell from explorer.exe to, say, powershell, or the command prompt. I've been having a lot of fun with this, as I've always wanted an operating system similar to DOS, but where you could execute modern 64-bit programs. This is very similar to what I wanted, but not quite, as the Command prompt does not support full-screen as we all know.
I wanted to know if there are other shell programs I can use besides explorer, CMD, or powershell. Maybe different shells that one can download off the internet as thought they were Linux desktops such as GNOME, KDE or Xfce?
P.S: The Registry key I'm referring to is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
