Using Laptop As Ethernet Provider

Hey folks, I am currently trying to use my laptop wireless to provide Internett access to my Desktop computer (wireless). I remember doing this on my XBOX 360, all though I am not quite sure how to do this on Windows 7 64 Bit ultimate.

I have connected a ethernet cable from my laptop to my Desktop Computer, and they are both lightning green.

If anyone could be kind enough to provide me with information on how to do this step by step, I would really appreciate it!

You need to use a special crossover ethernet cable to connect two machines without a router or hub, not just a standard one.

Thanks for the reply ! I am aware of that I need the special crossover cable, as I am using one of thoose. And I do have accsess to LAN, but no internet access on my Desktop Computer.

To do this you need to bridge the wired and wireless network adaptors,

This may be done manually but the easiest way is to use Inernet connection sharing.

There should be full help available in the help for the os or you could have a read of this ....
