Using Linksys AE2500 adapter, keep getting "limited access"?

I have a Cisco Linksys AE2500 wireless adapter and a Cisco Linksys e2500 wireless router.

For the most part I seem to be able to connect to the internet with no problem. But whenever I stream video to my PS3, my phone, Kindle or when I start using a lot of bandwidth my internet drops and I get the "limited access" message with the yellow <!> symbol. It still shows full bars and excellent connection. This happened with my PC at my old house, I forget was I did to fix it though? If it matters though I can connect fine to the internet from my Laptop and my other devices.

Any idea on how to quickly fix this?

You should try going into the routers set up page and change the wireless channel to a different one. Windows 7 tends to drop out or lose the connection if the wireless channel is overloaded. You can use a wireless scanner program like Xirrus WIFI inspector to scan for channels being used in your area.

Choose a channel furthest away form the ones your neighbors are using. Streaming movies wirelessly requires a good connection and a clear channel to work correctly. It also helps to use the Wireless N only setting in your router for best possible speed.

On the set up page for the wireless connection you will see the option there to use mixed G and N or G, B, A, N or N only, best wireless connection speed will be in the wireless N only mode. The set up page on all routers is different. If you can post a screen shot of your wireless set up page it would be helpful.

The connection drop outs are most likely from channel crossover which is a very common problem. Use the WiFi inspector to determine which channel is best in your area. You definitely would need to use a clear channel for wireless streaming of movies. Between using N only and finding a clear channel you will notice a big difference.

If you can post a screen shot of the inspector I can help with finding the best channel. With your router you can also use the 5.0Ghz wireless band which has the potential for more clear channels and therefore more band width although most machines don't have this capability built in to the wireless adaptor yet.
