I really like the new Outlook and have moved my emails/contacts to it.

Can I now remove Windows Live Mail from my PC and recoup the space? My SSD is only 64gb and it is quickly closing in on full.:confused::confused: Every kb I can squeeze out of it will help.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

If you are asking if you can use outlook.com over hotmail.com, and delete your live mail software, of course! Nothing will change as all of your stuff should be found in outlook.com, just as it was in hotmail.com. Double check by logging in, and if everything looks good, feel free to click on live essentials>uninstall>select programs to uninstall

If you don't mind doing all your emailing through your browser, then as DustSailor said, you sure can.

Without a default email program on your computer though, if you click on a link to email someone or right click, send to, mail recipient you'll get something like,

^ in all my life, I've never encountered an email link that compelled me so to click it. But perhaps someone else regularly uses such a thing. The only ones I ever email are listed as contacts. But everyone does things differently, for sure. This is one of those preference things.

I haven't either, but there are plenty of threads where it has been mentioned.

Without a mail client you also can't use the right click, send to, mail recipient.

I was just adding to your answer, not disagreeing.

Mate, I know, and so was I ;)
For sure I probably just added to the confusion.

I welcome your advice where ever you'd like to give it. I wrote you a note on your wall previously to try and clear it up as well, didn't want you to think I was annoyed. You know more than I do anyway :D
